Ronald Dixon, MD

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Dixon is an internal medicine physician, entrepreneur, and advocate for bridging technology, data, and medicine to improve patients’ access to care. He is the founder of Healthcare 360, former head of clinical affairs at Onduo, a diabetes tech startup from Verily (Google) Life Sciences, and former medical director at Mass General Hospital.

Dr. Dixon has been a pioneer and innovator in healthcare technology his whole career. As a practicing physician, he experienced the disconnect that physicians and patients face around the promise vs. the reality of technology in health care. He became a very early adopter of electronic communication protocols and the use of telehealth with patients, leveraging the value of data and technology to improve healthcare outcomes. This intimate knowledge of the day-to-day challenges clinical providers face is at the core of every solution CareHive builds.

Dr. Dixon was the inaugural director of Massachusetts General Hospital’s Virtual Practice Project as well as the director of its Center of Integration of Medicine and Innovative Technology. He attended medical school at Dartmouth College, completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, and served on the faculty of Harvard University.

Born and raised in Montreal, Dr. Dixon moved to the United States to attend medical school. A talented musician, he plays both piano and trumpet. Dr. Dixon serves on the boards of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boys & Girls Club and has served as ad hoc medical staff for the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and the New England Revolution soccer club. He is a highly sought-after speaker and has spoken at HLTH, HIMSS, World Health Congress, Digital Medical Society, and the Digital Healthcare Innovation Summit.
