Katie Bui is a healthcare executive with more than 12 years of experience bridging clinical care, healthcare technology, and business strategy. Her career has been shaped by a simple conviction: healthcare should never be so complicated that the people who need it most struggle to access it.

Katie began her career at the bedside, where she witnessed the compassion of care teams and the challenges patients and families face navigating a fragmented healthcare system. She saw firsthand how barriers to access, rising costs, and clinician burnout could stand in the way of quality care. Those experiences inspired her to extend her impact beyond individual patient encounters and pursue opportunities to improve healthcare on a broader scale.

Throughout her career, Katie has led enterprise partnerships, expanded into new markets, and driven multimillion-dollar growth initiatives across diagnostics, clinical research, healthcare technology, and virtual care. Combining clinical insight with commercial leadership, she brings a unique ability to connect patient and provider needs with business strategy, building trusted relationships and translating complex challenges into measurable outcomes.

At CareHive, Katie leads growth, strategic partnerships, engagement, and customer success. She is passionate about helping healthcare organizations reduce unnecessary costs, improve access, and empower people to make informed decisions about their care. Her leadership reflects a belief that the greatest measure of healthcare innovation is not what technology can do, but what it makes possible for the people it serves.

Katie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Creighton University in 2013 and completed a Mini-MBA in Healthcare through the University of Arizona’s Eller Executive Education program in 2025. A first-generation Vietnamese American and Kansas City native, she brings a deep appreciation for advocacy, human connection, and the importance of making every person feel seen, heard, and supported.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys traveling, being near the water, staying active, exploring her love of cooking, and cheering on her hometown Kansas City sports teams. Above all, she cherishes time with family and friends, life with her two dogs, and one of her most treasured roles: being “Aunt Katie” to the little ones who hold a special place in her heart, both family and chosen family.
