Daniel Moloney, PhD

Chief Operating Officer

Dan is a data scientist and serial entrepreneur with a proven track record of solving real-world problems and leading health startups to high levels of performance, client service, and growth. Dan has led a wide variety of teams in the public and private sector, including data and analytics, product management, engineering, marketing, and design. He’s known for spotting, nurturing, and retaining wicked smart team members who have stayed with him across multiple organizations.

Dan was the founder and president of SwiftKnowledge, which became part of S&P Global. Other past roles include serving as a senior vice president at Onduo, a diabetes startup from Verily (Google) Life Sciences, and at RedBrick Health (now Virgin Pulse).

Dan’s affinity for numbers extends to his role as a sports fan (because statistics). He’s had season tickets to the Minnesota Gophers Basketball team since 1985, and as a Chicago native, he’s a devoted fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs. A psychologist by training, Dan seeks discernment and evidence when looking to influence behavior and better outcomes. While working toward his PhD at the University of Minnesota, he worked on the famous long-term study of identical twins ages 18 to 80 who were reared apart, gaining an appreciation for the diverse factors that influence health and biology. He also enjoys gardening and collecting stamps as a break from data.
